ABOUT SLOUCH TO 5k

Slouch to 5K – Beginner Running Programme

Our Slouch to 5K programme is designed for complete beginners or anyone returning to exercise. Over six weeks, we help you gradually build up your fitness so you can complete your first 5K.

 

Programme Details

• 6-week course
• 12 coached sessions
• Beginner friendly
• Walk–run training format
• Supportive group environment

If you can walk comfortably for 20 minutes, you are ready to start.

Sessions are run in looped routes, so nobody gets left behind. Training includes a mix of gentle jogging and walking recovery breaks, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace.

Our main aim is for everyone to enjoy the sessions while improving fitness and confidence.

All participants who complete the programme receive a Slouch to 5K finisher’s medal.

 

Session Time
7:00pm sharp (1 hour session)

 

Location
Griffeen Valley Park, Lucan
Floodlit during winter months.

 

Parking is available around the park and in nearby housing estates. Please avoid blocking resident entrances.

Search “AGP1” in Google Maps to find the exact meeting point.

 

Payment

• Pay online through this website
• Pay cash on the first night

 

Important

All participants must complete the Health Waiver Form before attending.
