About Dave – Running Coach
Hi, I’m Dave, a running coach with over five years’ experience helping beginner runners and those returning to exercise build confidence and fitness. I specialise in coaching programmes that guide people from their first run to completing a 5K, 10K, or marathon.
I previously coached Fit4Life groups and am a member of Dunboyne AC.
Over the years I’ve helped runners train for distances ranging from 5K to marathon, always focusing on making sessions structured, supportive, and enjoyable.
As a runner, I’ve competed in a wide range of events including road, trail, cross-country, and track races, from 100m sprints to ultra-marathons. I’ve completed over 40 marathons and taken part in endurance challenges such as running from Galway to Dublin, Belfast to Dublin, and finishing as the third-fastest Irish runner from Malin Head to Mizen Head.
